Timber - A Special Substance

Timber has been used in the window manufacturing industry for centuries because of its special thermal insulation properties and above all its lasting stability. Modern window production technology ensures that timber-glass facades meet the highest demands of functional, technical and aesthetic characteristics.

Fassaden Windows reach their highest level of performance with optimum applied surface finishes. We use factory-applied high-performance coatings specially formulated to protect timber facades. The timber is protected long term on all six sides. In addition, we make sure all our products receive a durable protection in an environmentally acceptable way.

Finish Systems for any Application: Interior or Exterior - Translucent or Opaque

A factory-finished applied coating system provides quality priming and finishing by:

The solvent-free primer and finish combine the depth of penetration of solvent-borne coatings and the environmentally friendly properties of water based systems.

Large acrylic binder molecules lie on the surface of the wooden window and do not get anchored in the cellular fibers of the wood. This makes deep penetration impossible with field-applied air-dried finishing by hand. The small polymer binder particles contained in the solvent-free wood finish penetrate deep into the cellular fibers of the wood. This means a higher degree of saturation and outstanding adhesion.

Factory-applied finishes provide long-term protection against water, UV radiation and fungal attack and allow individual choice of color and surface appearance. Complete finishes include stains, primers, sealers, and topcoats. Fassaden offers modern coating systems designed to provide a wide range of transparent or opaque and matt or glossy colors for timber surfaces.

Aluminum Finishes

Fassaden provides unique environmentally responsive powder coatings for exterior aluminum finishes offering superior weather-ability for architectural applications on aluminum. Optional AAMA 2604 and AAMA 2605 performance.
